Mark A. Peeples, Owner
Mark A. Peeples is the owner of MAP Development, LLC and has been in real estate development and leasing for over 24 years. With a primary focus on retail development, Mark has brokered and/or developed over $300 million dollars of retail properties. As of January 2014, MAP Development continues to manage 300,000 +/- square feet of self-developed retail projects. He has been involved in brokering and owning real estate deals from New York to Louisiana.
John Hogue, Director of Development
John Hogue serves as a developer and broker with MAP Development, LLC. Since joining MAP in 2011, John has been responsible for transactional brokerage of 20 land deals throughout Alabama, as well as multiple anchor lease deals. In addition, John has helped to develop and execute expansion strategies in numerous markets for large retail tenants.
Prior to joining MAP, John spent 13 years with AIG Baker Shopping Center Properties, LLC and its successor, Blackwater Resources, LLC, working in numerous capacities including Senior Vice President of Project Development and Senior Developer. During this time, he was involved in the development of more than 6 million square feet of retail, as well as condominiums, a marina, and an amphitheater.
Mike Hopper, Director of Construction
Mike Hopper serves as director of planning, engineering, and construction for MAP Development, LLC. Mike is a registered professional engineer with focus on site design and development. Since joining MAP Development in 2005, Mike has developed several retail shopping centers including Eastwood Village, a 370,000 square foot Wal-Mart anchored power center. With over 20 years of retail development experience, Mike has managed construction activities on a diversified list of projects.
Prior to joining MAP Development, Mike was a Senior Vice President with AIG Baker Shopping Center Properties responsible for overseeing the planning, engineering, entitlements, and construction activities on over 10 million square feet of retail development.
Scott McGee, Developer
Scott McGee recently marked his fifth year with MAP Development, LLC, having joined the company in early 2009. A 16 year veteran of the retail real estate industry, Scott has been responsible for a number of transactional brokerage deals since joining the company. He is currently overseeing the development of Valor Grove, a low-income multifamily housing development designed to provide housing and other supportive services to United States military Veterans who are either homeless or are at risk of being homeless. This project is located on the VA Medical Center campus in Tuscaloosa, AL and is scheduled to come on line in late 2014 and early 2015.
Prior to joining MAP Development, Scott’s focus was the leasing of retail shopping center space and disposition of out parcels on or near the associated retail centers. He was the Director of Leasing for AIG Baker Shopping Center Properties, LLC from 2005-2007 and held the same position with The Shopping Center Group from 2008-2009, working with offices in Louisville, KY, Nashville, TN, Birmingham, AL, Jackson, MS and Mobile/Baldwin County, AL.
Anita Dobbins, Broker/Office Manager
Anita Dobbins is the Qualifying Broker and Office Manager for MAP Development. She has been with MAP Development since it’s formation in 2002 and has prior real estate involvement since 1993. She is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations for the company.
Carter Harsh, Developer
Carter Harsh is a developer and licensed agent for MAP Development. Since joining the company he has underwritten potential development opportunities and helped navigate projects through planning, entitlement, construction, leasing and disposition.
Dale Forehand, Property Management
Dale has been in property management since 1997 and has worked with MAP Development since 2003. He has managed open air shopping centers from Michigan to Florida. His management experience includes tenant relations, leasing, budgeting, NNN operations and maintenance of a variety of big box centers, as well as, small retail strip centers.
